Qualifications: Graduate in any Engineering Discipline


Experience: 10+ years experience in Port Construction



Contract Administrator


The Contract Administrator is responsible for producing the deliverables and conducting the day-to-day activities as required by the contract being managed. A Contracts Administrator is responsible for developing, interpreting, reviewing, negotiating and managing contracts on behalf of an organization


The Contract Administrator manages the following through the life of the contract:


  • Reporting to AM Onshore Contract Manager

  • Manages contractors overall performance against awarded contract

  • Issues site instructions, variation orders, AM internal approval requests, memo’s for contract amendment notices, etc.

  • Ensures delivery of full scope, on time and in budget within the project

  • Ensures adherence of project policies, processes, procedures, and templates

  • Sequences construction activities and manages access to site

  • Regularly reviews progress against schedule and implements corrective actions where required

  • With the assistance of Quantity Surveyors determines the value of work completed on a monthly basis

  • Controls direct and indirect field costs

  • Manages processing of invoices for payment

  • With the assistance of the engineers, resolves all technical queries

  • Through the assistance of the Site or Construction Supervisors on site manages quality control and inspection of field work

  • Checks compliance with equipment specifications

  • Site administration and supervision of employed tradesman and contractors

  • With the assistance of the Health and Safety officer ensures compliance with all Health and Safety requirements on the project

  • With the assistance of the Environmental Officer ensures compliance with all Environmental requirements on the project

  • With the assistance of the ER/IR Officer, ensures compliance with all ER/IR requirements on the project

  • Manages interface issues with contractors, engineering, controls, procurement (interfacing with Offshore Contract Management Team) etc.

  • Keeps open and honest communication with all stakeholders, ensuring clarity, and frequency

  • Manages risk on the contract.
